Finally got the front yard landscaping done. Yup! Got grass at last. Final cost was about twenty-five hundred bucks though........also managed to get some trim work done on the front of the house. Next year, it's the back yard and maybe I'll re-do the deck.
But November? Well, it's jury duty time in the US District Court. Got the summons today, and gotta report by November 3rd.

Nope, it's in Springfield. The United States District Court (Western District of Missouri, Southern Division) is there.
No wonder the Government uses acronyms. Coulda just called it USDC-WDM-SD and saved some ink!

Congrats on putting the yard to bed (get it, "flower bed", ha ha)... I'd always thought of jury duty as a very local thing, not something that would call people in isolated communities into long drives for. Have fun -- or heck, at least an interesting experience!

I was on a petite trial jury back about 1970 or '71 for an attempted murder case. But this is in the Federal Court. And I don't know if it'll be trial or grand. But either way, my guess is that it'll probably involve drugs, bank robbery or some such crime that violates Federal law.

I voted today...absentee. Didn't want to take the chance of missing Nov. 4th.

So you got your "anti" Obama vote in huh?
I suppose I supposed you'd go to the capitol since I live in the capitol and we hold ours here.... Oops. I hope you enjoy it, I can't help but think I would!

Been off the air for a couple of days getting my first donation of collectibles up to the East Texas Oil Museum before years end (2008 tax credit)
If I get all of the rest up there in 09 and the value continues to hold, it might completely eliminate my tax liability for next year!
